Terms & Conditions

COLLECTIVE KEEPSAKE CO prides itself on sound customer service, and stands behind it's crafting. These T&C's are designed to protect Collective Keepsake Co, It's Owner and it's reputation - in the event any discrepancies arise from disappointment or  dissatisfaction from any undue, unreasonable, unattainable or preconcieved expectations from You, the client.  AS the Client, You must understand that handcrafted is vastly different from shop manufactured / bought jewellery, and if you are expecting the same polished quality then handcrafted may not be for you.

* Transparency is of the utmost importance in our business model ethics and as such, it should be noted that I am an ARTISAN,  NOT a qualified Jeweller.  My skills are mostly self taught which have been finely honed with hands on experience over the past several years, along with tutorship from two prominent artisans in the DNA Keepsake Industry.  I source pre-made bezels and ring settings from other fellow handmade artisans and as a result,  I DO NOT  resize / reset / replace or replate any rings or settings.  The supplies I source are top quality,  but do not come with any purchase Warranty.  Knowing all the aforementioned,  as well as the following,  means you proceed at your own risk.

Please read ALL aspects of these T&C's before placing an order.  By placing your order,  it is assumed that you HAVE read and AGREED to ALL T&C's set forth on this website.  If you do not agree with these T&C's,  then you must cease usage and any service of Collective Keepsake Co immediately.

This website is operated by Collective Keepsake Co,  Throughout these T&C's,  the terms "we", "us", "I", "it" and "our"  all refer TO Collective Keepsake Co.

1)  Because of the highly customised nature of the pieces I create in my Breastmilk and DNA Jewellery Keepsake Collection,  I AM NOT ABLE NOR OBLIGATED TO  ISSUE RETURNS.

1b )  Likewise,  a partial refund is not warranted if your completed piece does not replicate your preconcieved visual expectations.  Leaving a bad review against Collective Keepsake Co, or spreading slander with Collective Keepsake Co as your reference,  may result in legal action for defamation of character.

1c)  Buyers remorse is not cause for a partial refund.  Please purchase and pay with a sound mindframe,  as Orders are final after payment is made.

1d) These jewellery keepsakes and bespoke pieces crafted by Collective Keepsake Co are not intended for wear by children under the age of 14 years of age.  If purchasing such items for this age demographic,  you do so entirely at your own risk.  Collective Keepsake Co accepts NO safety responsibility in conjunction with your purchase for a minor.  The conscious or subconscious purchase of an item from Collective Keepsake Co for a child under 14 years,  releases Collective Keepsake Co from any and all responsibility and legal liability.

1e) NO handcrafted DNA Keepsake is made for 24/7 wear. Please understand that the nature of this type of jewellery is designed and intended for ocassional wear only.  Please refer to section  4, 4b, 4c, 4d and 4e.

1f) No custom crafted order will commence crafting until full payment is made.

2)  Replacement or partial refund may be considered on a case by case basis selectively and at our discretion.   Collective Keepsake Co will ONLY replace or partially refund if the item has a legitimate structural flaw  ( NOTE:  Each and every piece must pass a stringent Quality assessment before being posted to the intended client ). Any discrepancies / complaints will need to be carefully evaluated and to do this,  the item will need to be posted back to Us to view the complaint.  Return postage is the Client's expense.  No discussion will be entered into if it is deemed that the item is damaged due to carelessness or lack of AfterCare.   REFUSAL TO RETURN THE ITEM FOR INSPECTION VOIDS YOUR RIGHT TO ANY RECOURSE.

2b) Any complaints / concerns need to be alerted to Us within 3 weeks of your receiving your Order,  AFTER WHICH THE TIMEFRAME IS NULL AND VOID.

3)  COLLECTIVE KEEPSAKE CO is not liable or responsible for any undue breakages, loss or theft of your item once it has left our possession and been posted back to you.  All posted Orders are accompanied by a tracking number and the client notified of this tracking number as soon as it has been posted.  This is WHY we stress that you  NEVER post us any inclusion that you cannot replace ( in the event you need to have it remade ).

3b) Collective Keepsake Co, it's owner and it's affiliates are not responsible for items lost, damaged or stolen when sent over the mail from You to Us, or items lost or destroyed via acts of God.  It is highly recommended that you post Us your inclusions with a tracking number, so your parcel can be tracked in transit and Australia Post can be held accountable for it's whereabouts. Adding a Signature on Delivery is highly recommended.

3c)  I take handling of your bio elements seriously, and I package and ship your items accordingly.  All orders are posted back to their recipients via the chosen postage option you choose at checkout  - both postage options automatically  comes with Australia Post's  $100 parcel post insurance,  but it is HIGHLY recommended that you choose  Express Post with SOD for all Breastmilk and DNA jewellery Keepsake and Keepsake purchases, as the Signature on Delivery ( SOD ) adds that extra level of protection.   YOU MAY WISH TO PURCHASE EXTRA INSURANCE AT YOUR ADDITIONAL COST.  Please see the listing for additional  parcel post insurance.

3d) In the event that you claim you did not receive your parcel despite tracking confirmation of a successful delivery,  you wil be directed to lodge a police report - as parcel theft is a federal offence. Once you have a report number, you can then contact Australia Post to lodge a lost parcel insurance claim.

3e) In such a claim of a lost parcel during postal transit ( ie:  Collective Keepsake Co posted your order and you received a tracking number but your parcel never arrived which can be proven BY said tracking number )  your refund will be only to the value it was insured for with Australia Post's automatic parcel post value ( $100 maximum on standard parcel post and Express post .... unless YOU opted for and paid for additional insurance ).  This will need to be paid out BY Australia Post after an inquiry BY THEM has been completed. This process is lengthy and may take a few months to be completed before any monetary recovery is finalised.  PLEASE NOTE: NO REIMBURSEMENT TO YOU WILL TAKE PLACE UNTIL AUSTRALIA POST HAS PAID OUT THE APPLICABLE INSURANCE COMPENSATION CLAIM.  Once you have recieved your insurance claim from Australia Post,   you are welcome to reorder and pay for a replacement item.

3e)  If you ignore our postage recommendation of choosing Express Post with SOD,  then you release Collective Keepsake Co of any liability  or responsibility in the event your parcel goes missing in transit once posted to you, and in the event your insurance claim is rejected by Australia Post.

4)  Each piece I create will be accompanied by a detailed After care Card.  Damage resulting in improper after care is easily visibly recogniseable,  and if your piece has deteriorated due to failing to follow these instructions,  YOU VOID ANY RECOURSE OR RIGHT TO A REPAIR, REPLACEMENT OR PARTIAL REFUND.

4b)  Please acquaint yourself with the Care Card recommendations in their entirety, found on this website under the heading AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS on the Home page, and also given to you with your order.

4c) Please be aware that as with ANY jewellery being worn regularly,  there will be natural wear and tear.  This natural wear and tear IS NOT considered a manufacturing  flaw.  The longevity of your piece in its original crafted state will be determined with the correct After Care it receives by You.

4d)  Visual changes that are NOT considered manufacturing or crafting faults or flaws with our handcrafted item/s:    bubbles, tiny surface divots or holes, chipped / broken or missing accent stones in settings after they have left our possession and been in yours, hardware findings that don't quite align or centre with the handcrafted pearl / orb / bead, tarnishing.  Additionally, as stated in 4c  - natural mechanical wear and tear and plating colour wearing off is also not considered a manufacturing  or crafting flaw / fault.

4e)  It should be also noted that ALL resin brands yellow NATURALLY over time.  Some brands yellow faster than others, depending on the use of a UV inhibitor in it's formulation.  This natural yellowing will be sped up tenfold if the AfterCare recommendations are not followed.   **  YELLOWING OF ITEMS IS NOT CONSIDERED A REASON FOR A REMAKE OR PARTIAL REFUND, as this is a natural chemical reaction of the resin and NOT a craftmanship flaw.

5) RINGS  are ordered by Us when you place your order.  I give explicit instructions HOW to determine your ring size  ( US sizing ).  You should be aware that  in some instances, sizes do vary by half a size between differing suppliers.  Essentially,  the onus is on YOU to provide us with your correct ring size when ordering.  We are not responsible for rings that end up being too big or small if you have quoted the wrong size.  We will not replace rings if you have given us the incorrect size.  We do not resize rings, and most jewellery stores also do not resize nondescript rings. Moreso, jeweller's do not know how to take care of a resin DNA gem, and will invariably damage it.

5b)  Please also be aware that because rings are ordered To Order,  that there are additional wait times  ( and depending on the supplier being used, this wait time varies ).  Be aware that wait times are a GUIDE ONLY, and subject to postal delays / public holidays.

6) PLEASE REMEMBER !!  You are purchasing a handmade piece.  NO two pieces will look the same.  Slight variations from piece to piece will occur - even for multiple pieces cast from the same mold.  Slight colour variations or small imperfections can occur, and may include but is not limited to :  lines from the mold they were cast in,  tiny spots or surface divots, small air bubbles, slightly off centered inclusions or misaligned hardware, hair or ash placements within the piece, etc.   You are purchasing a completely handcrafted / hand assembled item,  and  allowing for the nature of handmade, your piece may not be 100% perfect  ( but rest assured it will be made to the highest standard humanly possible ).   IF YOU ARE EXPECTING ABSOLUTE MACHINE PRECISION, POLISHED PERFECTION,  A HANDCRAFTED KEEPSAKE OR HANDCRAFTED JEWELLERY MAY NOT BE RIGHT FOR YOU.   These are not jeweller shop bought materials.  The findings I use are sourced from other small handmade business artisans on good faith of their described items.  With handmade come natural flaws.  These flaws are not considered defects - moreso,  unique characteristics.  HOWEVER ... if you are looking for jewellery that is one of a kind, wearable art that is 100% unique to only YOU,  then you have come to the right place !

 7)  Please note that each person's inclusions react differently when preserved and mixed into resin.  I CANNOT GUARANTEE THE VISUAL RESULTS OF ANY PIECE.  Your piece will look as close as possible to the example you chose it from, however, colours may be less translucent or more opaque.  All breastmilk colours differ naturally, and again when it is preserved.  HOW it reacts is an industry unknown.  Inclusions such as encapsulated placenta  grains / ashes / cord stump - even flecks,  will settle bottom side with gravity when the resin is setting up.  Again,  i have no control over this, or what the finished extruded piece will look like.

8)  Having acknowledged number 7 above,  by proceeding with you Order,  you give Collective Keepsake Co and it's artisan full creative license to produce your handcrafted piece and agree to accept the outcome of the finished item ( regardless of any preconceived visual expectations  ).

9)  By placing an order, you give unspoken permission for Collective Keepsake Co to photograph your finshed piece for social media purposes.  YOUR NAME OR ANY OTHER SENSITIVE INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR PIECE WILL NEVER BE SHARED OR DIVULGED WITHOUT YOUR EXPRESS PERMISSION.

10)  Since the preservation technique transforms your liquid breastmilk into a useable powdered form,  it is common to see some visible small specks of this powdered breastmilk within your piece  This is normal and not a defect.

11)  Prices for each piece is determined on the ONE inclusion and / or  preservation of breastmilk.  To include multiple preservations for the one ordered piece, a surcharge will  apply.    Postage of inclusions sent from you to Us is at your expense.

12) We reserve the right to update, upgrade, change or replace ANY part of these T&C's at any time we see fit or the need arises.  IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBLITY TO CHECK THIS PAGE PERIODICALLY FOR ANY CHANGES, EVEN IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED FROM US BEFORE.  Your continued use of, or access to,  this website and the services of Collective Keepsake Co constitutes your acceptance OF any changes.
