This lapel pin respectfully commemorates all the war animals that served and died  ..... 16 million horses, mules, donkeys, dogs, cats, pigeons  -  The Purple Poppy symbolises their unspoken   (   and mostly overlooked   )  immeasurable service and sacrifice during WW1.  

The purple poppy was introduced in 2013 by the Australian War Animal Memorial Organisation    ( AWAMO )  and was intended to be worn alongside the red poppy as a symbol of reverence and equality to their human counterparts.  

 

SPECS:  Stainless steel 18mm bezel,  glass tile photo cabochon.
